Amala Fellowship Angamaly is a Public Charitable Society established in the year 2012, registered under the Charitable Societies Act, Govt. of Kerala with Regn.No.EKM/TC/501/2012 and approved under section 80G(5)(vi) of Income Tax Act 1961 of Govt.of India with Unique Reg.No.AADTA61 27B/09/16-17/T-0143/80G. The Society is formed to help financially or otherwise,cancer patients and other terminally ill people who are from the lowest strata of society belonging to the poorest of poor, irrespective of caste, creed or religion.The society has at present around 1000 members and is expected to enrol another 4000 members with in a period of 3 years.

The main source of income for the society is from members by way of membership fees and donations from the general public. The income for the society for the FY 2015-16 was Rs.33.77 Lakhs and for the FY 2016-17 was Rs. Lakhs.The society provides a financial help of Rs.1000.00 each every month to every eligible cancer/kidney patients from the Angamaly Municipal area till their last journey and also provides one time financial assistance of Rs.2000.00 each to every eligible patients from the Ernakulam, Thrissur and Idukki districts.In addition to the above, the society also gives financial assistance to the children of cancer/kidney patients for their education.

With support from our communities, we strive to provide the absolute best care possible, and a wide array of support services, delivered in the most compassionate, competent, and cost-effective manner possible, to all who need it.

Mission

We strive to improve the quality of life of those suffering from a prolonged debilitating illness by offering the best possible holistic care made affordable and acceptable through community participation and also helping the affected families. We aim to integrating palliative care into comprehensive cancer care and providing continuity in care to the cancer patients. The mission of Amala Fellowship is to provide the highest quality, home-based, individualized and compassionate care that empowers patients and their families with programs and solutions that address end-of-life challenges.
